Roundabout Leaf Tank

First I would like to thank Lilikoi Knits for inviting me to join. I just love Norah's designs and will start the Ram's Horn Jacket soon. I am almost finished with the Roundabout Leaf Tank, I am trying to figure out the best way to attach the shoulder straps to the main body.Could someone please tell me how they did theirs? I would appreciate any suggestions. When I finish the tank I will post a picture of it.

What I did was to pick up and knit up one shoulder and down the back, then pick up and knit the corresponding stitches on the back and graft the strap to the new row of stitches with Kitchner stitch. I then did the reverse going from the back to the front and grafting at the front. I hate seaming and found grafting a good way to get a flat connection. It was a little tricky to do the grafting over ribbing, but I got it after a few tries.

YIKES !!!!! I hate the kitchner stitch, as a matter of fact, when I knit my socks I do it from the toe up and do short rows for the heel just to avoid all that grafting. Hmmmmm....any other suggestions out there ???
