Sunflower Tam

I finally finished something besides holiday gifts. This is the Sunflower Tam made with two skeins of Lambs Pride Bulky, 85% wool and 15% mohair in Autumn Harvest. It was a quick knit and I love the way it came out.

Spiral Scarf

I have just finished the Spiral Scarf. This is my third project from Knitting Nature (but it's the second to be finished!)

The scarf is composed of 15 hexagons that make a spiral shape. I ran out of time, and made 12, but I don't think the last three tiny hexagons wuld make much of a difference. I changed from 1x1 ribbing to stockinette, because the yarn didn't look good in rib stitch. This modification was a BIG mistake, as the stockinette stitc make the edges curl, and I believe ribbing wouldn't curl like that. I have wetblocked it for 36 hours, but it's not entirely flat. Lovely as it is, I don't think this yarn was the best choice for the pattern. A lighter, more drapy yarn would have been better. It was a really, really quick knit. I had some minor surgery done on my arm that caused knitting discomfort, and then I lost a day to migraines, but I still managed to finish it in five days.
More pictures in my blog entry.

First post and Target Wave Mittens

Hi all, and I'm so glad to be here! I fell in love with this book and had to have it. Had to have it so much that, shockingly, I paid retail!

I've got a Bubble Pullover in the works, but my first completed object is a pair of Target Wave mittens for my (adorable, I know) son. I couldn't resist switching the MC and CC for the two mittens. I couldn't bear the thought of him wearing acrylic, store-bought gloves again this winter. These are in two worsted weight stash wools-- some WOTA and Kraemer superwash -- on #6's to make them come out toddler-sized. I enjoyed the process of making these, BUT, the pattern is chock full of errata. If anyone is interested, I will post what I figured out (I haven't seen it noted anywhere).

Asymmetrical Cardigan

Finally finished! Using malabrigo, yummo, I love it, but it took a bit of blocking to make it big enough for me, opps!
