Asym Cardi Finished!

After quite a delay where I removed the bottom ribbing and redesigned the collar and wrists with a simple single cable twist, sewed on the "perfect" buttons and managed to win a blue ribbon at our local county fair, this lovely sweater is done and fits just right! The pics are from my new digital camera - hope they look okay!

  6. What yarn did you use? The color is very glowy, I love it.

  7. The yarn is Rowan Cork. It was wonderful to work with, but it did require more than the pattern called for. I used a KP Options circ needle btw, which handled the twisted stiches w/ease.

Thanks for your kind comments. I wore it out for the first time today and a total stranger gushed. That was a nice way to start the day!

  8. Hi Tree,

I realize that this is kind of a late comment, but . . .

I have to say that, having seen your cardi in person at the KR retreat last weekend, it's even more gorgeous in real life than in the photos (if that's possible!).

I didn't remember hearing about the prizes for it - can you tell us about it?

FYI: I'm "Wendy J" from the retreat, and I apologize again for the semi-snarky sounding comment I made about the brightness of the cardi when we were outside. It's really terrific, and I think the color works wonderfully with the sweater design & with your bright personality!

  11. hello,
very nice effect, it's different from the original but i still like it.
i chose (a) bold color too to knit mine, it's a bonbon pink.
i did knit the collar because with all that ribbing, the collar balanced it visualy and also because it is rather a thick cardigan that can be worn on top.

i wish i could join this KAL to show it to you :-!
