Hitting the Target

I finished a pair of the Target Wave mittens. I like them enough although their shape is kind of weird. 1 skein of the Goddess Phoebe was not enough, so I had to reverse the colors. More comments and details on my blog.

So which pattern to do next......

Ogee Tunic Done

I finished the Ogee Tunic last week:
ogeetunicdone1

This was a great design to make, but some wording in the pattern threw me off and caused some grief and frogging. If you're making the tunic do go over my notes here. The linked blog post also has more pictures, modification (I added waist shaping and shortened the sleeves), and yarn details... This is the second pattern I made from the book, and look forward to many more!

Cowl Pullover

My Cowl Pullover is knitted from 5 skeins of worsted weight Malabrigo in the marine colourway. I knitted an intermediate between sizes petite and small getting the gauge at needles size 6mm.

I couldn't make the instructions for the cowl work, so I changed it by looking at the photos instead - I think it worked out well.

I was a littled worried about sewing and cutting the cowl, but that worked out nicely, too.

I really like the outcome of my efforts - I must say, that this is another clever pattern from Norah: I like how the integrated sleeve-collar makes this an unusual sweater. Mmmmmm :)
